Josefina Guilleminot, guitar/music theory

Josefina Guilleminot moved to Germany in 2022 and began her Master of Music in composition at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Professor Johannes Schild in October of the same year. In 2024, she won the Chilean Chile Crea Scholarship, which grants her full funding for the second year of her Master’s degree.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 2019. During her studies, she was awarded the Scholarship for Musical Excellence from the Music Institute of the Catholic University two years in a row. She also worked as a teaching assistant for music literature, harmony, music analysis and music history at the same university.

From 2012 to 2016 she studied classical guitar, first at the Southern University of Chile and then at the Catholic University of Chile, under the guidance of professors Wladimir Carrasco and Luis Orlandini respectively. During this time, she took part in master classes and seminars with guitarists such as Leo Brouwer, Marco Tamayo, Hopkinson Smith and Pablo Márquez.

Josefina has been a dedicated music teacher since 2018. She started teaching guitar and piano in private music schools in Cologne in 2023. In addition, her passion for languages has led her to teach her mother tongue Spanish to foreign students. From February 2024 she is part of the team of teachers at the language school AvidaZ in Cologne.
